December 9, 2009 – 11:00 pm
After 2,5 years of development and production of several pre-beta versions and release candidate published a final version of the mail client Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0.
The new version significantly redesign: from the taskbar were hidden many functions, and the default is now on it appears only four buttons. It also adds a bookmark that allows you to open multiple messages in the background, without interrupting viewing the contents of the box. Significantly simplified the procedure for adding new accounts. By default, users must now complete the wizard, the settings are only three fields on a single screen, and the program will automatically try to connect the e-mail account, and will make setting as POP3-, IMAP-and protocol. Seriously was redesigned search engine and filtering.
A new version of Thunderbird 3.0 is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
