LG has released a new optical DVD drive
Following Pioneer company LG announced the launch of a new model of optical burner DVD GH24 Super Multi, designed for installation in a 5.25-inch drive bay housing.

New support number of original technologies to enhance user comfort: Silent Play – quiet operation with a drive level of noise emissions of no more than 32 dB and a data transfer speed 2400 KB / s; Jamless Play – automatic stop to prevent playback if it detects physical defects in the disk, for example, scratches or fingerprints. Also, the device has the support of technology SecurDisc, which allows you to protect data from unauthorized access password and create CD and DVD-discs with a personal digital signature. The scope of delivery of the optical drive LG GH24 Super Multi includes software LG iODD to update the device firmware, YouCam to work with webcam and 60-day trial version of Norton Internet Security 2009, reports ITC.ua.

The model presented contains 2 MB of cache memory and is equipped with interface to connect SATA. It can burn CDs with the following rates:

* DVD + RW – up to 8x;

* DVD-R – up to 24x;

* DVD-RW – up to 6x;

* DVD + R DL – up to 16x;

* DVD -R DL – up to 12x;

* DVD-RAM – up to 12x;

* CD-R – up to 48x;

* CD-RW – up to 32x.
