Sony showed a touch controller for the PlayStation 3 (VIDEO)
by Sony Computer Entertainment presented at the Conference Game Developers Conference 2010 touchscreen controller for PlayStation 3.

The innovative device is called PlayStation Move (formerly known as PS3 wand). Working in conjunction with the camera PlayStation Eye, the controller recognizes the natural and intuitive hand movements and displays them in the game.

High accuracy of positioning the hand in space is achieved by applying a number of sensors in particular triple-axis gyroscope and triple-axis accelerometer sensor of magnetic field. The body PlayStation Move are control buttons, and the sphere at the end can shine in different colors depending on what is currently happening in the game.

Along with the PlayStation Move was shown subsidiary controller (something like the Wii Nunchuk). It is also equipped with control buttons and an analog joystick for the thumb. And PlayStation Move, and auxiliary controller working on lithium-ion battery; for data exchange with the prefix used by wireless communications, reported Kompyulenta.

It is expected that new sales will fall and will cost $100 bundled with PlayStation Eye camera and one game. The controller can also be purchased separately or together with the PlayStation 3.
